From Rovinj the route heads south past the special ornithological reserve Palud, several agrotourism facilities and through the settlements of Barbariga and Peroj in the Vodnjan area. In Fažana, it is recommended to turn off the route towards the Brijuni National Park, which is an archipelago of 14 islets and islands. From here, via Valbandon and Štinjan, the route enters the largest Istrian city and port – Pula, which abounds in numerous museums and sights, of which the most famous is arguably the Roman amphitheater – the Pula Arena from the 1st century, also the largest monument from that period in Croatia.
