The EuroVelo 8 route from Vrsar leads past one of the most beautiful natural phenomena of Istria – the Lim Bay, and passes by the attractive sports airport in Vrsar. From here it continues along the marked Eco bike trail Vrsar – Lim through the pleasant shade of the Kontija forest. At the Benedictine monastery of St. Michael in the town of Kloštar, the route connects to the D75 road. In order to avoid the extremely steep and demanding climb from the Lim Bay itself, which is difficult for cyclists, the official route safely bypasses the canal through the interior. Thus, the route continues via the fascinating medieval ruins of Dvigrad to Kanfanar, from where it descends via Rovinjsko Selo to one of the most romantic towns in Croatia – Rovinj, ideal for a walk along the narrow, paved streets to the church of St. Euphemia.
