The Adriatic-Ionian route from Vrsar leads past one of the most beautiful natural phenomena of Istria – the Lim Bay, and passes by the attractive sports airport in Vrsar. From here it continues along the marked Eco bike trail Vrsar – Lim through the pleasant shade of the Kontija forest. At the Benedictine monastery of St. Michael in the town of Kloštar, the route connects to the D75 road. In order to avoid the extremely steep and demanding climb from the Lim Bay itself, which is difficult for cyclists, the official route safely bypasses the canal through the interior. Thus, the route continues via the fascinating medieval ruins of Dvigrad to Kanfanar, from where it descends via Rovinjsko Selo to one of the most romantic towns in Croatia – Rovinj, ideal for a walk along the narrow, paved streets to the church of St. Euphemia. South of Rovinj, the route passes by the special ornithological reserve Palud, several agrotourism facilities and through the settlements of Barbariga and Peroj in the Vodnjan area. In Fažana, it is recommended to turn off the route towards the Brijuni National Park, which is an archipelago of 14 islets and islands. From here, via Valbandon and Štinjan, the route enters the largest Istrian city and port – Pula, which abounds in numerous museums and sights, of which the most famous is arguably the Roman amphitheater – the Pula Arena from the 1st century, also the largest monument from that period in Croatia.
