Itinerary description:

The Trail of Sculptures by a Famous Artist begins from the car park next to Vrsar’s cemetery and leads along the paths following the symmetrical furrows of the vineyards towards Funtana and the Dinopark. Located within a lush forest and partly in a former quarry, this dinosaur park is a unique playground offering pleasant surroundings for spending time with some fascinating prehistoric creatures."Escaping" from the giant dinosaur steps, your ride continues all the way to the Sculpture Park by Dušan Džamonja, one of the most famous sculptors in Croatia. His works of art are now preserved in New York's MoMa, the Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery in Berlin and the London Tate Gallery, but also in an astonishing open-air gallery overlooking the sea, encountered on your unusually interesting trail.On your way back to Vrsar you will be able to admire the sculptures within the park of the house and atelier. This is where the great master of three-dimensional form spent most of his creative life.

Technical characteristics:

The Trail of Sculptures by a Famous Artist is perhaps the easiest route of our itineraries. It is only 9 km long, of which up to 7.6 km are on asphalt roads, while the remaining 1.4 km is on macadam roads. The total altitude difference between start and finish does not exceed 106 metres. Recreational cyclists on mountain, trekking and electric bikes will gain the most enjoyment whilst riding along this sculpture trail. Depending on the number of stops, it should take you from between 30 to 50 minutes to complete the route.
