Recreational bike-ride Parenzana

Many cyclists, amateurs and professionals, know that the world is much more beautiful when it is viewed from the "cycling perspective." We, the organizers, your hosts from Vižinada, we really believe in it.
The atmosphere and experience of the unique natural scenery and interesting special programs have promoted the cycling marathon Parenzana in a unique gathering of recreational cycling fans from various ages.

Grown from a humble local competition in its 15 years, recreational marathon Parenzana represents, until now, the largest, international cycling meeting in Istria.
Simply put, recreational marathon Parenzana, at the end of the cycling season, is considered the "queen" of recreational cycling in Istria.

That’s why we are proud to welcome you to 16th recreational Parenzana in Vižinada.

Type of racing, the right to participate
Recreational cycling race, length of 46.7 km.
Right to participate have individuals and organized cyclists.

Riding style
All participants must be registered for the participation in the bike-ride.
In addition to socializing and riding, on the final section (climb from Ponte Porton - in Mirna valley, to the viewpoint before Vižinada) is an open race for everybody (6.2 km long).

Registration and distribution of numbers
Number distribution is on the start (school gym), before the race (Sunday, 25.09.2011.) from 7:30 to 9:30 AM.
Entry fee: 50,00 kuna. Children under 10 years - FREE.

Awards and prizes
All participants will receive a medal, a shirt, a commemorative gift and a meal, cups and awards to the most successful male and female competitors per category.
The awards will be given after the bike-ride, at 14.00 h, on the Old Square in Vižinada.
