Istra MTB Tartufi Tour - Parenzana Cannondale 2008

The Marathon Parenzana is organized according to the rules of the Croatian Bike Association (HBS) as well as the UCI. Anyone may participate at the race who has a mountain bike a in technically perfect condition, who wears a helmet and who accepts our liability exclusion, whereby it is of no legal significance if the registration or pickup of the starting number is done by one self or by a third party. Furthermore every participant must have an accident and a 3rd party insurance!

For the participation in the Marathon every biker needs an additional license with a valid UCI-code, or a single-use license from his/her national bike association (determined by residence) or a single-use license issued by organizator!

Along the entire route, including forest roads, one has to expect cars! The instructions of the staff, marshals and the race chiefs must be obeyed.

Any kind of external assistance during the race is prohibited! At the assistance points, shown on the course map, the participants may accept food/ beverages, spare parts and tools from their coaches. Repairs have to be accomplished by the participant himself!

No littering outside of the area of service stations! Pieces of clothing may be left at any service station and picked up later at the place of the starting number distribution.

Attention! Very expensive mountain bikes have been stolen at recent events. Therefore we recommend not to leave bikes unsupervised and also lock the bike holder on the car roof respectively to effect an insurance against theft!

Additional information:
a) The organizer will prepare the course and ensure all the other requirements until 5:00 pm. All participants that won’t finish the race until that time will be excluded from the final classification list, as well as without risk coverage, meaning that will be driving on their own responsibility, and without refreshment-points waiting. Anyway, the signage along the course will be left for some time longer.
b) The participants reaching the control point (35 km) at the bridge Ponte Porton, in the valley of the river Mirna, more than 5 hours after the start, will be excluded from the final classification list, as under a).
